The 17-7 PH is an alloy of stainless steel, mainly consisting of iron, chromium, 16-18% nickel, 6.50-7.75%, trace aluminum, and 0.75-1.50% .It has a high strength as well as it is resistant to fatigue and oxidation. This can make 17-7 PH suitable for aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. In the case of this alloy, the mechanical properties are improved upon heat treatment for hardening. It is dimensional stable, which gives it desirable properties. Components subjected to the environment have its high tensile strength and corrosion resistance as the other benefits.
