Stainless Steel 304I Tubing is mainly composed of 18% chromium and 8% nickel with the balance in carbon, manganese, silicon, and traces. This gives it excellent corrosion resistance, especially in an acidic as well as oxidative environment. Mechanically, this composition has tensile strength at 520 MPa, yield strength at 205 MPa, with elongation at 40%, making it a super class versatile and durable material. It offers good weldability, formability, and resistance to high temperatures, which makes it very suitable for chemical, food processing, and pharmaceutical industries.
