Stainless steel 317 tubing is made primarily of steel, with high percentages of chromium (approximately 18-20%) and nickel (12-15%), and a molybdenum (3-4%) yield corrosion resistance is high It also contains trace amounts of elements such as manganese, silicon and carbon. The material exhibits excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and high temperature oxidation. Mechanical properties include approximately 560 MPa tensile strength, 290 MPa yield strength, and 40% elongation. It provides excellent strength, formability and durability, making it ideal for harsh environments and chemical applications.
